Mike Chalmers‑Hunt

Mike Chalmers‑Hunt is a leading expert in telecommunications fraud, security, and financial risk, with a career spanning thirty‑four years across the UK’s major telecom operators. His work has shaped national approaches to fraud prevention, infrastructure protection, and cross‑industry intelligence sharing.

Mike held senior leadership roles at BT, including Head of Revenue Protection and Head of the Metal Theft Task Force, before joining Vodafone Group in 2015. At Vodafone, he led Fraud Management for Vodafone Carrier Services and later headed Fraud Management Operations at Vodafone Three, specialising in identifying and mitigating risks to customers, revenue, assets, and reputation.

Since retiring in 2026, Mike has continued to influence the industry through governance and advisory roles. He serves on the Board of the Telecommunications UK Fraud Forum (TUFF), a Specified Anti‑Fraud Organisation dedicated to combating telecoms‑enabled fraud and cyber threats. He is also a Fraud Adviser with Fraud Intelligence Limited (FIL), supporting the development of AI‑driven, privacy‑compliant fraud intelligence for global risk platforms.
